Terms:

POE: Power over Ethernet, this Provides the power to your wireless modem on the outside of your home, and is installed on the inside of your house, before your computer, and before your router. It is the device that connects to your WAN PORT on the router, or you Ethernet port on the computer.

Router: If you have more than one computer, in your house that has access to the internet you use a router. Different brands are used, such as Linksys, D-Link, or Netgear. This allows you to shares your internet connection with other computers. It also ads security/firewall features to better protect your computer while on the internet.

If your internet stops working:

1. RESET ROUTER AND COMPTUER (skip this step if you do not have a router)
1. Unplug black power cable from the back of the router and plug it back in
2. Wait 1 minute for the router to boot back up, then reboot the computer, or repair your network connection
3. Check the internet connection, if that doesn’t work proceed to step 2

2. IF RESETTING ROUTER AND COMPTUER DON’T WORK…
1. Unplug the black power cable from the back of the POE, wait 2 minutes before going to the next setp
2. Unplug the power cable to the router and plug it back in, wait for it to boot up (1 minute)
3. Reboot your computer
3. Check your internet connection, it should be up and running.
1. Try a different website that your home page such at google.com
